We are celebrating our Pakanasink Elementary School fifth-grade students who are now on to middle school! These students have accomplished so much academically and socially, and have honed their skills in music, band, and athletics. All while getting through a pandemic!
Interim Superintendent of Schools Donna Geidel reminded the students of how much they have grown and matured since entering PAK. She encouraged them to join clubs and take part in activities when they get to Circleville Middle School. And she reinforced a message they’ve heard throughout their time here at PAK – be kind to each other!
Students received many awards at the ceremony including for academics, art, music and band, chorus, library and physical education.
Three PAK students – Miabella Altomare, Paige Brudniak and Ali Khan – received the Triple C Award, recognizing the courage, character, and commitment of New York State’s outstanding students.
Christian Donatien, Caitlin Weir and Mariam Hassan received the New York State Comptroller’s award, which is awarded to students who have shown academic excellence and the potential for leadership through involvement in activities that improve their school and/or their community.
Zecharia Huber, Gia Patino, Nathan Palaszynski and Leisa Jean-Baptiste each received the Principal’s Award for supreme effort.
Now it’s on to Circleville Middle School for most of these former elementary school students. Do your best! You’ve got this!
