PAK second grade students take a step back in time

The second grade students at Pakanasink took a step back in time to the 19th century with a trip to Museum Village in Monroe.

A boy with blue shorts and white tshirt stands in front of the group of students with a stick. He is dipping it into wax to create a candle.

They learned how communities have changed over time. The tour gave them a taste of life in the 1800s.  The Museum Village staff brought history to life with presentations by a broom maker, candle maker and a blacksmith. They even visited an old school house.

In front is a group of second grade students in a large wooden building. Behind them are the bones of a dinosaur.

The PAK second graders had a great time learning about history and enjoying the atmosphere of Museum Village.

A group of second grade students sit on a wooden bench in a small room and listen as the woman in front of the room talks.
