Pakanasink second-graders are now published authors

Second-grade students at Pakanasink are now published authors! And what a thrill it was to read their very own short stories to their family and friends.

A group of parents sit in a classroom clapping.

Students in Stacie Lazo, Suzanne Parker and Kim White’s classes wrote their own narratives, which were then compiled into a hardcover book, one from each of the classes.

The theme for Ms. Lazo’s class was superpowers! Each student wrote their story about their own superpower.

A group of about 20 second graders sit on a floor and smile for the picture. There are two women standing behind them, also smiling.

In Ms. Parker’s class, the students’ book compiled their stories of what makes their hearts full of love.

In Ms. White’s class, the students wrote about what they want to be when they grow up.

Family and friends gathered in each class to support these budding authors! After each stood in front of their class and read their story, they relaxed with some yummy snacks and hugs from their guests!
