PBE kindergartners enjoy arts and crafts and reading Dr. Seuss

Celebrating reading is a wonderful tradition for Pine Bush High School and Pine Bush Elementary School, especially in March which is National Reading Month!

Photo taken from the back - two high school students dressed at Thing 1 and Thing 2 read books to a group of kindergarten students sitting on the floor. There is a high school students dressed as the Cat in the Hat.

The PBE kindergarten students take a walking trip over to the high school and have a fun and educational time making crafts and having some Dr. Seuss books read to them. March 2 is the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel. an American children’s author and cartoonist. He wrote more than 60 books under the pen name Dr. Seuss.

Our high school volunteers help throughout the morning, with some even dressing as the infamous Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2! The little ones love the trip and so do their high school counterparts.

A great time was had by all. Special thanks to PBHS librarian Rob Pawson, Family and Consumer Science teacher Leeann Noonan and the amazing PBHS volunteers who make this day so special!
