Teresa Salvato’s first grade class talked about what it’s like to be in a No Place for Hate school on Friday, Nov. 13. “Safe” and “happy” were two of the answers given by this very astute class. They discussed what action they would take if they encountered someone bullying a friend – they would tell him to stop, invite the friend being bullied to join them and tell the teacher, if needed. And they drew the different scenarios for all to see.

Each day, the students repeat the No Place for Hate pledge after their teacher. “It’s something we do every day,” said Mrs. Salvato.A blue document with white type
