Third-grade students at Pine Bush Elementary became junior archeologists in the Library Media Center this week when they got the chance to study authentic Native American arrowheads, knives and scrapers.
They also got to study real mastodon bones, all of which were on loan from Museum Village.
This is part of the larger lesson about fossils they did with library media specialist Lisa Ruyack where they read about Mary Anning, the child fossil hunter from England back in the 1880s.
