This year, members of the National Art Honor Society will help with several aspects of the district-wide art show in March, including setting up and facilitating art activities for guests. NAHS has initiated its very first Visual Arts Spirit Week coming up in March as well where students will celebrate the arts in our daily lives, from characters, to iconic artists/artworks and more.

“I am very proud of the dedicated NAHS students who have been so generous with their time and talents this year,” said Janice Barth, PBHS art teacher and National Art Honor Society advisor. “Their dedication to bringing art into the school community and beyond has been greatly appreciated.”
The National Art Honor Society has provided national recognition and opportunities for students who exhibit outstanding scholarship in the visual arts, and for their teachers. Participation in NAHS provides students, faculty, school, and the community with invaluable benefits, including peer recognition, leadership growth opportunities and college and career preparation.
This is the first year PBHS has a chapter of the National Art Honor Society. The NAHS is open to high school students who have demonstrated an outstanding ability in visual arts. This program supports members in their efforts to attain the highest standards in art scholarship, character and service.
