Pine Bush Elementary School was bursting with color, creativity, and culture last week as students and staff came together for an unforgettable Diversity Week! The theme of the week centered around celebrating our differences by recognizing and respecting others.
Throughout the week, students expressed their individuality and unity by designing unique puzzle pieces, wearing vibrant colors and patterns, and welcoming family members who shared their cultural traditions. Thursday brought a special treat as guest readers visited classrooms to read inspiring books that highlighted the beauty of diversity and inclusion.
Readers included SRO Officer Kelly and main office secretary Pam Fanning, two faces familiar to the students, as well as district office personnel Assistant Superintendents Joe Lenz and Terrilyn Cohn. Crispell Principal Stephen Wilder stopped by to read to his future students.
The grand finale on Friday had the entire school buzzing with excitement as students and staff gathered for a dynamic music assembly! Principal Eric Winters and his musician friends explored how different cultures have shaped American music, creating a powerful and joyful conclusion to an incredible week.
Diversity Week was a huge success, leaving everyone with a deeper appreciation for the many cultures and perspectives that make our school community so special! We are #PineBushProud
