Graduation Information

Caps and Gowns:

  • Seniors placed orders for caps and gowns via the Jostens website to be worn at the graduation ceremony.
  • Caps and gowns will be distributed at the mandatory graduation rehearsal
  • If one was not ordered, please know a Jostens representative will be at graduation rehearsal. The cost of the cap and gown at that time will be $50 and can be paid at rehearsal. 

Graduation rehearsal: Mandatory 

  •  Wednesday, June 26 at 9 a.m. PBHS  main gym.
  • All students who plan to participate in the graduation ceremony must attend this rehearsal. 

Indebtedness

  • Students indebted to the school (those who have not returned Chromebooks, chargers, athletic equipment, or owe any money) will not be given their cap and gown until their debts have been cleared. Please return any school property and clear all debt before rehearsal.  

Graduation

  • The graduation ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 27
  • Students are expected to arrive at the school for the lineup no later than 6:00 p.m. in the PBHS main gym.
  • If there is the possibility of weather-related postponement of the graduation ceremony, news will be relayed through the district website (www.pinebushschools.org) and Parent Square.
  • The main gate allowing access to the field will be closed at 6:45 p.m.; those wishing to sit on the field must arrive before this time. 
  • Seating reserved for handicapped or individuals in wheelchairs will be conveniently located closest to the entry/exit.    
  • During the ceremony, professional photographers will photograph the graduates as they receive their diplomas. 
  • Please encourage your child to dress and behave appropriately at the ceremony. The decorum of graduates should promote a positive image to our school community. 
  • It is inappropriate to bring toys or other items to disrupt commencement exercises. With your help and support, we can ensure that a very special and memorable day will be created for all. 

All-Night Grad Party

  • The all-night graduation party will begin at 10:30 p.m. 
  • Permission slips were handed out at school and emailed to students and parents. Those must be returned by 6/20 to the main office or email to linda.prato@pinebushschools.org
  • Please encourage your child to attend this drug and alcohol-free experience.
  • Many of you are chaperoning this event, and your efforts are greatly appreciated.
