The Pine Bush Central School District honors and recognizes Kristin Graessle, who has served the district as a member of the board of education for the past three years. Ms. Graessle worked tirelessly on behalf of the children of the district and its taxpayers.
Ms. Graessle’s term on the board expires on June 30 and she did not seek reelection.
Even before her service on the board, Ms. Graessle had been an active parent in the Circleville Elementary and Circleville Middle schools, as well as in youth sports. She is an entrepreneur who was named Woman of the Year in 2015 by the National Association of Professional Women.
As a member of the Pine Bush Board of Education, Ms. Graessle worked to improve its processes and to keep its members knowledgeable on all new practices and procedures. For her commitment, she was recognized by the New York State School Boards Association for Board Excellence earlier this spring.
“Kristin consistently advocated for more training of our board members to ultimately improve the board’s operation,” said Gretchen Meier, president of the Pine Bush Board of Education. “In addition to doing the work of a board member, she was committed to identifying and researching ways we could improve. I am grateful to her for her efforts.”
Superintendent Tim Mains expressed his gratitude for Ms. Graessle’s contributions to the board.
“In just a single term, Kristin left her mark on the board with her continued efforts to support our students and to maintain the high standards of Pine Bush Schools,” said Mr. Mains. “I thank her for her service to our district and wish her well.”
