Pine Bush hosts our senior citizens for dinner and an amazing show

Pine Bush High School presented Matilda The Musical to a very special audience just days before the public performances. About 100 senior citizens attended the annual dinner and show, offered free of charge by the district.

The turkey dinner included all the fixings and was donated by our vendors. Bus transportation was also donated by our partners at First Student.

There was a 50/50 raffle to benefit our amazing FAME (Families Assisting Music Education) group. Gift baskets were donated to this cause.

Students and staff volunteered from throughout the district to set up for the evening, assist our arriving guests, serve dinner and dessert, sell 50/50 tickets, and to clean up afterwards.

A man wearing a light blue shirt and khaki pants shakes hands with a man sitting.

The high point of the evening, though, was the production of Matilda The Musical. This special audience was thrilled with the show and the wonderfully talented students who brought it to life.

On a stage, actors standing on large lettered blocks. They are wearing gray skirts and maroon blazers. In the center is a character wearing a green dress and red tie.

This event is a highlight on the district calendar, with eager volunteers and a very appreciative audience.
