Reminders before school begins: health exams, vaccinations must be up-to-date

Health exams

All students entering Pine Bush schools for the first time, as well as those entering pre-K, kindergarten and grades 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 must have a health examination performed by a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner entering those school years listed. Vaccinations

All seventh and 12th-grade students must have received the meningococcal vaccine in order to start school.

  • Students entering grade 7 must have the initial dose of meningococcal vaccine;
  • Students entering grade 12 must have either two doses of meningococcal vaccine, with the booster given on or after age 16 OR one dose if the first dose was given on or after age 16.
