School board honors fall scholar-athlete teams, individuals and championship teams

The Pine Bush Board of Education honored  121 scholar athletes at its Jan. 14, 2020 meeting. In order to achieve scholar-athlete status,  the individual student must maintain a 90 grade point average.

Pine Bush also had eight scholar-athlete team awards. In order to qualify, 75 percent of the team’s roster’s average grade point average must be 90 or above. Those teams are: Girls volleyball, tennis, cross country, field hockey, soccer and swimming and diving; Boys cross country and soccer.

The board also acknowledged championship teams from the fall including:

  • Girls Volleyball – OCIAA Division II Champions, Section IX Champions 
  • Football – Section IX Champions
  • Girls Swimming and Diving – Section IX Team Champions, OCIAA Division I Team Champions
  • Boys Soccer – Division II Champions
