Special moments for our Class of 2024 Top 30 and the people who inspired them

Each year, the top 30 students of the graduating class of Pine Bush High School are honored at a special ceremony. They in turn honor a teacher, coach counselor who has had the greatest impact on their academic  lives. It’s a very emotional, uplifting, and joyous evening.

The Pine Bush High School Class of 2024 top 30 students had that moment on Thursday, May 30, with their families present. The soon-to-be graduates shared their reasons why they chose a particular teacher as their special guest. For some it was believing in them when they didn’t believe in themselves. Others were inspired by the passion the teacher stirred in them. One student, Katie Johnson, had the honor of choosing her dad, noting, through tears, that she will miss seeing him each day at school.

Some of the comments from the students included: “I am grateful for the profound difference you’ve made in my life.” “I will always remember the help you gave us and the impact you had on my high school career.” “Your impact is more than I could have ever imagined.” “She has made my hardest moments easier.” “You have been the biggest inspiration to my future.” “You’ve lit more than just a match. You’ve ignited an everlasting flame.” “He is the epitome of everything a teacher and a human being should be.”

What a special evening. Congratulations to the Class of 2024 Top 30, their families and honored guests. We are Pine Bush proud!
