Pine Bush High School senior swimmer Ashley Martin signed with Bloomsburg University to swim for the division II school in the fall.
Her family, friends, coaches and several of her teammates showed up for her signing ceremony on Tuesday, May 14.
Ashley has been a varsity swimmer since seventh grade, part of the core four of this year’s team that has been swimming together since they were just four years old.
“Ashley is an exceptional young adult who possesses a remarkable work ethic, unwavering dedication, and a strong sense of loyalty,” said her coach, John Barth. “Throughout her time in swimming, I have witnessed her consistent commitment both in and out of the pool and her willingness to go above and beyond to achieve her goals.”
Motivation, enthusiasm and determination are some of the qualities Barth admires most in Ashley.
“One of Ashley’s most outstanding qualities is her motivation,” said Barth. She approaches everything she does with enthusiasm and determination, always striving for excellence. Ashley is not afraid to take on challenges and is always willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve them. Our loss is Bloomsburg’s gain and they are lucky to have her. We will miss her here in Pine Bush.”
Congratulations to Ashley and all who have supported her throughout her career here in Pine Bush. We wish you the very best!
