Team building events make for a great day at CVMS

What a special Friday at CVMS!

A group of sixth grade boys, most dressed in green, play basketball. One boy is shooting the ball into the air.

For the half day on Friday, Sept. 15, students had a special team building back to school celebration. Each grade wore a particular color – grade 6 wore green, grade 7 donned blue and grade 8 sported black. They each took rotations in the gym and fields outside to play basketball, volleyball, kickball and capture the flag.

Two seventh-grade girls sit at a table and smile as they eat red Italian ice. The girl on the left has long curly dark hair and is wearing glasses. The girl on the right has long dar hair pulled back in a ponytail and is wearing a light blue shirt and black zipped jacket.

For team building activities, they played dizzy bat, human knot and hula hoop line. It was a gorgeous day to be outside and the students had fun playing and bonding with their teammates.

Each student also received an Italian ice treat thanks to the awesome CVMS PTA.

It was a great way to make new friends, build relationships and skills, and have fun at the same time!
