The Esperanza tradition continues at CES

It’s a CES tradition! Circleville Elementary School fifth graders enjoyed reading the book “Esperanza Rising” and then doing the things that were so meaningful in Esperanza’s life. They made yarn dolls, quilts and learned to crochet! They also had the annual fiesta, which included walking tacos, tres leche and churro cheesecake for lunch.

The lessons of Esperanza were a highlight. She grows as a person, maturing into someone who accepts people no matter their circumstances. Esperanza rises from the depths of her circumstances into a better human being. Wonderful lessons and some new activities learned by our students resulted into a great time for all!
