The kindness at CES is having a domino effect

On Thursday, June 13, 2024 CES held its first ever “CEREALsly” Spreading Kindness event!

Younger elementary students sit along a blue wall waving and clapping. A man walks past them clapping.

Students and staff at CES donated more than 300 boxes of cereal for the event. Sixty boxes of cereal were distributed to families at CES. The remaining boxes were donated to food pantries serving our community at Circleville Church, the New Prospect Church in Pine Bush, the St. Paul’s RC Church in Bullville and the Montgomery Food Bank. The remaining 112 boxes were picked up by Katie Carson-Decker for the Pine Bush High School food pantry!

The collection was displayed for all students to see in a culminating domino wave event in order to demonstrate the “domino effect” of spreading kindness. Click here to have a look at the action!

Hundreds of cereal boxes lined up and are falling into each other in a domino effect. Kids are sitting smiling and watching.

The event was a big success and CES looks forward to “CEREALsly” Spreading Kindness again next year, with the hopes of getting even more boxes of cereal donated to our local food banks!

Have another look from a different angle!
