The Legend of Sleepy Hollow comes to life at Crispell

Crispell Middle School sixth and seventh-grade students were in for quite a treat! On Thursday, Nov. 7, Jonathan Kruk performed “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” on the Crispell stage. He was accompanied on piano by Tom McCoy.

Kruk was dressed in period costume as he told the classic story that is set in the Hudson Valley. Sixth-graders read the story in class. The seventh-graders were reacquainted with the story as a treat!

The students watched and listened attentively, even participating when prompted. Bringing literature to life makes stories more appealing to students and encourages reading! Such a wonderful experience for all involved.
