Pine Bush High School juniors Tiara Bernard and Leah O’Donnell were among 34 students honored at the Orange-Ulster BOCES’ 2024 Humanities Honoree Awards Ceremony held at the Otterkill Country Club recently.
Tiara and Leah were nominated by staff at Pine Bush High School for the honor. The event celebrated students from throughout the Orange-Ulster BOCES area who have distinguished themselves in the fine arts, performing arts and humanities.
Tiara is an amazing musician who seeks to enhance her skills by taking multiple courses in music and chorus. Her diverse musical coursework includes wind ensemble, seraphim choir, and jazz ensemble. In addition to honing her talents as a musician, she has performed in school plays and musicals. Her commitment to her craft has been rewarded with All-County Honors Ensemble. Tiara plans to pursue music education and theater after high school.
Leah’s special talent is fine arts. She has taken a variety of art classes at Pine Bush High School including studio art, drawing and painting, and animation. Her keen sense of composition and excellent observational skills have contributed to her abilities, allowing her to win the Pine Bush Art Design Contest. She has also participated in the Wallkill River School Summer Art Program. Leah plans to attend college and major in the arts or business.
Congratulations to both Tiara and Leah on being recognized for their wonderful talents.
