Unique gifts from STARS students

There is nothing like a handmade, unique gift. Students in STARS Academy were able to make holiday gifts using the district’s laser cutter to create messages and images on picture frames.

Students sit around a table with their frames, with a teacher leaning in to help them.

Pine Bush High School’s school counselor Melissa Kaloz and social worker Katie Carson-Decker spearheaded this project with the assistance of Kenny Marshall. The students thoroughly enjoyed this project as they created one-of-a-kind gifts for family and friends.

Homemade frames of wood with different sayings engraved into them sit on a table.
