Virtual reality takes CVMS students to the world’s land biomes

Stacie Blaut’s sixth-grade science students enjoyed a virtual reality presentation and experienced exploring the world’s land biomes.

A biome is a large area characterized by its vegetation, soil, climate, and wildlife. There are five major types of biomes: aquatic, grassland, forest, desert, and tundra. Some of these biomes can be divided into more specific categories, such as freshwater, marine, savanna, tropical rainforest, temperate rainforest, and taiga.

Hope Schaumburg, our educational technology specialist, gave the students a tutorial and clear expectations about how to properly use the virtual reality goggles during class.
